How to write an RTI Letter

There is no separate format for RTI Letter. The letter should be on a white paper with details of applicant addressed to the Public Information officer of the respective office. The Fee of Rs.10 should be submitted by way of Postal order / DD/ drawn in favour of the office and if you need copies of any documents from the office, a fee of Rs.2 per page should also be submitted to the office. If you are not sure about the no of pages of documents, you can ask the same in the letter how much it costs. You will get a reply as to that. Accordingly, you can make the payment for the copies of documents.
